The Committee on Legislative Support of Law Enforcement recommends that The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopts as a Basis the Bill on Amendments to certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine concerning Protection of Cultural Heritage

The Bill (Reg. No.3190), submitted by the Cabinet of Ministers, aims at enhancement of effective legislation of Ukraine in the field of protection of cultural heritage. In particular, it should increase responsibility for non-fulfillment of its requirements, specify competence of the public authority bodies in charge of protection of cultural heritage, and establish regulations concerning protection of historical and cultural monuments, and activity of the historical and cultural reserves.
